What my plan's limits actually mean
Storage, bandwidth, visits and sites — what counts towards each, and what happens at the limit.
Sites
How many separate websites you can run. A staging copy counts; a subdomain of a site you already have does not.
Storage
Everything on disk: files, uploads, the database and your backups. Backups are usually the surprise — a site with large uploads keeps a copy per retention day. Sites → your site → Storage breaks it down so you can see which.
Bandwidth
Data sent to visitors. Images and video dominate it; text is negligible. A CDN reduces what counts against this, because the CDN serves the copy.
Visits
A visit is one person browsing, not one page. Bots and monitoring checks are excluded, which is why this figure is lower than a raw log count.
At the limit
Nothing is switched off without warning. You are emailed as you approach a limit, and overage — where the plan allows it — is billed by usage at the rate shown on the plan page. For limits that cannot overage, such as site count, the next action is refused with a message saying which limit it hit.
⭐ Check Billing → Usage before upgrading. More than half the customers who ask for a bigger plan are within their limits and have a different problem — usually a slow site rather than a full one.
