Affiliate Programme Terms
These terms govern the Zinn Digital® affiliate programme — how you earn commission for referring customers, how referrals are tracked and paid, and the promotion rules everyone in the programme agrees to.
About these terms
Last updated: 22 July 2026.
These Affiliate Programme Terms (the "affiliate terms") are an agreement between you (the "affiliate") and Zinn Digital® Ltd (Company No. 16385785), 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. They apply when you join the Zinn Digital® affiliate programme, and they sit on top of our Terms of Service, which continue to apply. The specific commission structure, cookie window and payout schedule that apply to you are published on your affiliate account and on the programme page; where a figure differs between a marketing page and your account, your account governs.
The affiliate programme is separate from the customer-to-customer referral route, where existing customers refer others and both sides receive wallet credit against future invoices. These affiliate terms govern affiliate accounts; the referral route is governed by the Terms of Service and the reward shown at the time.
1. Eligibility and joining
To be an affiliate you must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live), able to form a binding contract, and able to comply with these terms and the law that applies to you. You do not have to be a Zinn Digital® customer to join.
- Apply through the affiliate sign-up; we may accept or decline an application, and may require identity or business details before activating an account or releasing a payout.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account, tax and payout details, and for keeping them current.
- You promote independently — nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency, partnership or joint-venture relationship, and you may not present yourself as able to bind or speak for Zinn Digital®.
2. Referral tracking and attribution
When you join, your affiliate account issues unique referral links and codes tied to your organisation. A referral click sets a first-party cookie and is also recorded server-side through the platform's attribution layer, and the attribution is carried across from the marketing site to the app on signup and stored against the referred organisation as first-touch and last-touch.
The cookie window — how long after a click a signup is still credited to you — is a configurable programme setting, published on your account rather than fixed in these terms. Because attribution is captured server-side and stored on the referred organisation, a referral is not lost the moment a browser clears its storage. A referral is valid only where it results from your genuine promotion under these terms; we determine attribution in good faith using our systems, and our records are the basis for calculating commission.
3. Commission
Commission is applied by rule against the qualifying order or subscription of a validly referred customer. The rules that apply to you are shown on your affiliate account and may vary along several dimensions:
- Percentage or fixed — a share of order value, or a set amount per conversion.
- One-off or recurring — on the first payment only, or for as long as the referred subscription keeps renewing.
- Per product line and per plan — different lines and plans may carry different rates.
- Tiered by volume — a structure may step up as your referred volume grows.
- All amounts are held in integer minor units with an explicit currency, so multi-currency earnings do not drift through rounding.
4. Holdback, clawback and qualifying referrals
Earnings accrue to your affiliate balance and sit through a holdback period before they become payable, because a referral is only genuinely earned once the underlying payment has cleared and any refund window has passed. Commission on an order that is later refunded, charged back, or reversed is clawed back — money that did not stay with the business does not stay in your balance.
A referral does not qualify, and no commission is due, where the signup is your own or a linked account, where it results from prohibited promotion under section 6, where it is fraudulent or made in breach of these terms, or where the customer was already attributed to another affiliate or was an existing customer.
5. Payouts and identity verification
Payouts run through the platform's payment provider and wallet — the same audited engine that handles customer billing and refunds — on the programme's published schedule, once earnings clear their holdback period. Each payout comes with a statement itemising the conversions and any reversals behind it.
- A minimum payout threshold and the available payout methods are published on your account; a balance below the threshold rolls over to the next period.
- Above a defined earnings threshold, identity verification (KYC) is required before a payout is released — a normal condition of paying real money, and a protection for legitimate affiliates against the fraud that gets programmes closed.
- You are responsible for any taxes on your commission and for providing valid tax and payout information; we may withhold a payout where the law requires or where verification is outstanding.
6. Promotion rules — what you must not do
You may promote Zinn Digital® honestly, on channels you control or are permitted to use. The following are prohibited and void the affected referrals, and may end your participation:
- Spam — unsolicited bulk email, messaging or comments — and posting your links where you do not have permission to post.
- Bidding on, or using in ad copy or domains, the Zinn Digital® name or trademarks (including obvious misspellings) in paid search, unless we have agreed in writing.
- Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, self-referrals, incentivised or fake signups, and any attempt to manufacture or misattribute referrals.
- Misleading, false or unsubstantiated claims about the platform, its pricing, or its capabilities, and impersonating Zinn Digital® or implying an official or exclusive relationship.
- Promoting on sites that host unlawful, infringing or adult content, or in any way that breaches the Acceptable Use Policy or the law (including advertising, consumer-protection and disclosure rules — you must disclose the affiliate relationship where required).
- Offering unauthorised discounts, rebates or coupons, or presenting your referral link as an official Zinn Digital® offer.
7. Use of our brand and assets
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the marketing assets we make available in the affiliate asset library, and the Zinn Digital® name and logo, solely to promote the platform under these terms and in line with any brand guidance we provide. You gain no other rights in our trademarks or content, and all goodwill from your use belongs to us. We may ask you to change or remove any promotion, and the licence ends when your participation does.
8. Changes, suspension and ending participation
We may update these terms, the commission structure, the cookie window, and the payout schedule as the programme develops. Material changes are published to your account and, where they significantly affect you, notified by email or in the dashboard; continuing in the programme after a change takes effect means you accept it. Changes are not retrospective on commission already validly earned and cleared.
Either of us may end your participation at any time. We may suspend or terminate an affiliate account — and withhold or reverse commission — for breach of these terms, fraud or abuse, or a legal requirement. On termination your licence to use our brand and assets ends and you must stop using your referral links; validly earned, cleared commission above the payout threshold remains payable subject to verification.
9. Liability and governing law
The limitations and exclusions of liability in the Terms of Service apply to these affiliate terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you for indirect or consequential loss or for lost profits, and our total liability to you in connection with the programme in any 12-month period is limited to the commission validly payable to you in that period.
These affiliate terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

Frequently asked questions
What commission will I earn?
Commission is set as a rule and can differ by product line, by plan and by your referred volume, and can be one-off or recurring. The structure that applies to you is shown on your affiliate account — these terms govern how it works, not a single fixed number.
How long is the referral cookie?
The cookie window is a configurable programme setting published on your account, not a fixed period baked into these terms. Attribution is also captured server-side and stored against the referred organisation, so a referral is not lost the moment a browser clears its cookies.
What happens if a customer I referred refunds or charges back?
The commission is clawed back. Earnings sit through a holdback period before payout precisely so that a later refund or chargeback can be deducted — you keep commission on payments that stay with the business, not ones that are reversed.
Can I bid on the Zinn Digital brand in Google Ads?
No, not without our written agreement. Bidding on our name or trademarks (or obvious misspellings) in paid search, or using them in ad copy or domains, is prohibited and voids the affected referrals. Promote on channels you control and disclose the affiliate relationship where the law requires.
Do I have to verify my identity to get paid?
Above a defined earnings threshold, yes — identity verification is required before a payout is released. It is a standard condition of paying real money at scale and it protects legitimate affiliates from fraud. You are also responsible for any taxes on your commission.
Is this the same as referring a friend as a customer?
No. Customers can use the customer-to-customer referral route, where both sides get wallet credit against future invoices — that is simpler and needs no payout setup. These affiliate terms are for affiliate accounts aimed at publishers, agencies and partners driving referral volume.
