Index monitoring

Find out when a page falls out of Google, not months later

A page that is not indexed earns nothing, and nothing tells you when one drops out. We check the pages you name every week and tell you when one leaves — 50, 250 or 1,000 pages depending on your plan.

A continuous monitoring trace across several checks, with a break flagged.

What it is

Being in Google's index is the precondition for everything else in search. A page that has quietly dropped out cannot rank, cannot be found and cannot convert — and the usual way people discover it is by noticing that traffic has fallen, weeks later, and then going looking.

This add-on removes the delay. We ask, every week, whether each page you have asked us to watch is still indexed, and we record the answer. When the answer changes, you are told.

What you get

What you buy is how many separate pages we watch. A site hosted somewhere else counts as one page from the same allowance.

Three plan sizes

Starter watches 50 pages, Growth 250 and Pro 1,000, each checked every week. The weekly check of the whole site that every Footprint-Free plan includes carries on alongside.

Named page targets

Watch specific pages — the ones that earn — rather than only the site as a whole. Packs of 250 extra pages add to any plan.

A dated history

Every check is stored, so you can see exactly when a page left and when it came back, and line that up against what you changed.

It says what it saw

A check that could not reach an answer says so rather than reporting a reassuring result. A blank is not the same as a pass.

Works with the rest of your SEO data

Indexing sits beside ranking and authority on the same screen, because a ranking drop and a de-index look identical from a traffic graph.

Any site you have added

Hosted with us or not — this is a question about Google, not about your server. A whole site hosted elsewhere uses one page of your allowance.

How it works

  1. Pick what to watch

The site as a whole is watched already. Add the individual pages that matter — a product page, a landing page, a piece of content you paid for.

  2. We check every week

Each page is checked once a week and the result recorded, whatever it is. Checks pause automatically if your account is not in good standing and resume on their own when it is.

  3. You hear when it changes

A change of state is what you are told about. A page that has been indexed for a year does not need a weekly email saying so.

What it costs

A weekly check of the site is included with every Footprint-Free plan and costs nothing. These plans add the individual pages you want watched.

Packs stack: buy a second one and the allowances add together rather than replacing each other. Add-ons are bought from your dashboard and appear on your normal invoice — no separate account, no second bill and no minimum term. Pay yearly to save 16.67%. Prices exclude tax, which is worked out from your billing country at checkout.

Hold 3 or more SEO tools and every one of them is 20% cheaper. Pay yearly as well and the two savings stack.

Why it is worth the money

The cost of not knowing is asymmetric. Knowing a week late that your best page is out of the index is not a small inconvenience — it is a week of the traffic that page was earning, and the time it then takes to get re-crawled on top of that.

We can price this the way we do because the checks are batched rather than made one at a time. Your plan sets how many pages we watch, and packs of 250 raise it whenever you need more.

Questions

Is weekly checking enough?

For most pages, yes: a de-index is something you want to know about within days, not the month later a traffic report would tell you. Weekly across hundreds of pages is what makes watching every page that earns affordable.

What counts as a page?

One URL. The weekly check of your hosted site as a whole is included with your plan and does not use a page. A whole site hosted elsewhere uses one page of your allowance.

Do the packs stack?

Yes. Buy the 250-page pack twice and you have 500 extra pages on top of your plan.

Will you tell me why a page dropped out?

We tell you that it did, and when. Why is a judgement about your content and Google's guidelines — the technical audit add-on is the one that goes looking for causes.

Do I have to host with you to buy this?

No. Index monitoring works on any domain, wherever it is hosted. You need a Zinn Digital® account, which is free to create, and you add the domain you want watched.

Can I cancel whenever I want?

Yes. It is billed monthly, or yearly at a saving, with no minimum term, and cancelling stops the next charge. The history we have already collected for you stays readable for as long as your account is open.

What happens if my account is suspended or unpaid?

Checks stop while the account is not in good standing, and start again by themselves once it is — you do not have to ask. Everything already collected stays visible in the meantime, with its real age shown, so you are never looking at stale data that is pretending to be current.
