Expert site speed-up

Make your site fast, by people who do this every day

A hands-on engineering pass over one site: caching, images, CSS and JavaScript, fonts and the database. We work on any site — it does not have to be hosted with us.

Automation gets you most of the way. The rest needs judgement.

Where the platform can apply a speed optimisation automatically, it already does — caching, compression and image handling are part of hosting with us and cost nothing extra. But every slow site is slow for its own reasons, and the last stretch is where an engineer beats a checkbox.

This is that stretch. Somebody reads your site, measures what is actually costing you time, and fixes those things specifically — then tells you what they changed.

A speed dial and cache layers over a page loading in stages

What an engineer actually does

Every tier includes the work below. Larger tiers add the handling a shop or a heavy, plugin-laden site needs on top.

Cache layers, configured properly

Page, object and browser caching set up for how your site is actually built — not switched on and hoped for.

Images that weigh what they should

Compression, modern WebP and AVIF formats, correct dimensions, and lazy loading below the fold.

CSS and JavaScript that stop blocking

Minification, deferral, and on the heaviest tier per-template critical CSS and per-page asset dequeuing.

A font strategy

Loading behaviour chosen so text is readable immediately instead of flashing in late.

Cache rules a shop can survive

Cart, checkout and account pages excluded correctly, cart-fragment and AJAX handling, and object-cache tuning.

The database underneath

Clean-up, slow-query identification and indexing, plus a plugin audit where plugin bloat is the real cause.

How it works

Three steps, and the first one is free.

  1. Tell us the site

Send us the URL. We measure it and tell you which tier it needs and what we expect to gain.

  2. We do the work

An engineer applies the changes to your site, testing as they go rather than applying a template.

  3. You get the result and the reasoning

We hand back the measured before-and-after. The heaviest tier includes a written report of what changed and what remains.

Pricing

A one-off fee, priced by how much site there is to work on. We tell you which tier applies before you buy — if we think you do not need this, we will say so.

Expert Site Speed-Up — Standard site

$100.00one-off

Expert Site Speed-Up — Commerce or membership site

$200.00one-off

Expert Site Speed-Up — Complex or heavy site

$300.00one-off

One-off, not a subscription. Hosting with us already includes automatic caching, compression and image optimisation at no extra cost — this is the hands-on work on top.

Why speed is worth paying an engineer for

Core Web Vitals are a ranking signal, and they are measured on real visits rather than in a lab. A slow site loses positions it has already earned, and loses the visitor before the page finishes arriving.

The gap between an automatic pass and an expert one is usually the difference between a score that is acceptable and one that is good. That gap is judgement — knowing which plugin to dequeue on which template — and it is not something a switch can hold.

Do I have to host with Zinn Digital®?

No. We do this on any site, wherever it is hosted. You do not need to move anything to us, before or after.

What score will I end up with?

We do not promise a number, and you should be wary of anyone who does — the ceiling depends on your theme, your plugins and what your pages have to do. We measure first and tell you what we expect to reach before you spend anything.

My site is a shop. Is that different?

Yes, and it is priced differently for that reason. A shop or membership site needs cart, checkout and account pages deliberately excluded from caching, plus cart-fragment and AJAX handling. Caching those pages is how a speed-up breaks a checkout.

Will this break anything?

An engineer does the work rather than a bulk script, and tests as they go. On the heaviest tier you also get a written record of every change, so anything can be traced and undone.

What if the real problem is my hosting?

Then we will tell you that instead of taking your money for tuning around it. Some sites are slow because of where they live, and no amount of front-end work fixes a server that is out of headroom.

Is this a subscription?

No. It is a one-off piece of work. If you want the gains kept under review over time, that is what our monitoring products are for.
