We set four cookies in total, and only one of them needs your permission. This page lists every one of them by name — no categories, no vendor boilerplate.
Nothing is measured until you say yes
Analytics cookies are not strictly necessary, so under UK PECR regulation 6 and GDPR Article 6 they require your consent BEFORE they are set. We treat that literally: until you accept, no analytics cookie exists and the analytics code is not even downloaded.
- The banner defaults to no. Closing it, ignoring it or never answering leaves analytics off.
- Accept and reject are the same size, in the same place, one click each — no dark patterns.
- Reject is remembered. We do not re-ask on your next visit.
- You can change your mind at any time by deleting the zinn_consent cookie in your browser settings; the banner will then reappear.
Every cookie we set
Four cookies, all first-party — set by zinndigital.com itself. None of them is a third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookie, and we do not sell or share their contents.
zinn_attr — attribution (90 days)
If you arrived from an ad or a campaign link, this stores the campaign parameters that were already in the URL you clicked (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, and the gclid/fbclid/ttclid/msclkid click ids). It lets us credit a signup to the campaign that produced it for our own accounting. It holds no behavioural profile and nothing you did not already send us in the address bar.
zinn_theme — preference (1 year)
Remembers whether you chose the light theme, the dark theme, or to follow your operating system. Strictly necessary for the preference to persist.
zinn_currency — preference (1 year)
Remembers which currency you asked to see prices in. Strictly necessary for the preference to persist.
What the analytics cookie actually measures
If you accept, we use PostHog on its EU cloud (eu.i.posthog.com) so the data stays in the EU. We deliberately send it far less than it is capable of collecting.
- We record events we defined in advance — which page was viewed, which button was clicked, how far down a page people read.
- Autocapture is off. We do not send the text of whatever you clicked, and we never record your screen or session.
- We never send personal data: no name, email address, phone number, postal address, password, payment detail, form field value or search term. A denylist strips those keys before anything leaves your browser, as a backstop to the types that already forbid them.
- Search terms are replaced by their shape. A domain search sends the TLD and how many characters you typed — never the domain itself, which is often your own name or an unannounced project.
- Anonymous visitors get no persistent profile.
- The analytics code is only downloaded after you accept, and even then only once the page has finished its work — so it cannot slow down what you came for.

FAQ
What happens if I reject?
The site works exactly as it does otherwise. No analytics cookie is set, the analytics code is never downloaded, and we do not ask you again on future visits. Your theme and currency preferences still work, because those cookies are not analytics.
How do I change my mind after accepting?
Delete the zinn_consent cookie for zinndigital.com in your browser's site-data settings. The banner reappears on your next visit and you can choose again. Accepting also stops the moment you clear the cookie — we do not keep a server-side copy of your decision.
Do you use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies?
No. Every cookie listed on this page is first-party, set by zinndigital.com. We do not run advertising pixels or cross-site trackers on this website, and we do not sell your data.
Why does the attribution cookie not need consent?
It stores only the campaign parameters that were already present in the URL you clicked, in order to account for a commercial relationship — it builds no profile of your behaviour and tracks you across no other site. We list it here anyway, because telling you about every cookie we set matters more than only listing the ones we are obliged to.
Where is the data stored?
Analytics data goes to PostHog's EU cloud region (eu.i.posthog.com) and stays in the EU. The preference and consent cookies are stored only in your own browser.
