How to connect Microsoft Advertising to Zinn® Ads

Connect one or many Microsoft Advertising accounts. A daily audit proposes negatives, keywords and pauses that wait for your approval, and every change can be undone for 30 days.

Zinn® Ads looks after your own Microsoft Advertising accounts (the ads on Bing, Microsoft Edge, Copilot and partner sites) the same way it looks after Google Ads accounts: you connect them once, we check each account every day and propose changes, and nothing is changed until you approve it, unless you choose otherwise.

Connect your Microsoft Advertising accounts

  1. Open Zinn® Ads in your dashboard and press Connect Microsoft Advertising.
  2. Sign in with the Microsoft account that can reach your Microsoft Advertising accounts, and
  3. allow Zinn® Ads to manage them.

  4. Pick the accounts to add. Every ad account your sign-in can reach is listed, including the
  5. accounts of the clients an agency manages. Each account you add is kept separate, with its own settings, its own changes and its own history.

What the daily audit looks at

Each day we read the last 30 days of the account's search terms and keywords and propose three kinds of change:

  • Block a wasted search: a search that had at least 10 clicks and no conversion
  • becomes an exact-match negative keyword on its campaign. A search that is or contains one of your own keywords, or shares a word with a search that converted, is never blocked.

  • Add a proven search: a search with 2 or more conversions that is not yet
  • a keyword becomes a phrase-match keyword in its ad group.

  • Pause a poor keyword: an active keyword with no conversion after 30 clicks,
  • or under 1% click-through after 300 impressions.

A change you rejected is not proposed again the next day. You can also press Run audit now on the account at any time; the result shows on the account as the number of changes waiting.

Approve first, Undo and the kill switch

Everything in How to connect Google Ads to Zinn® Ads applies to Microsoft Advertising too: each kind of change can be Ask me first, Automatic or Never; every change can be undone for 30 days; Pause this account and Stop all changes stop every change, while Undo keeps working.

If Microsoft is down or your access ended

If an audit cannot read the account, the account shows why: when Microsoft Advertising is having an outage we say so and link Microsoft's status page; when your sign-in has expired or was removed, connect the account again.

Disconnecting an account

Press Disconnect beside the account. We forget our access and delete everything we hold about that account. To remove Zinn® Ads from your Microsoft account as well, remove the app from the apps with access to your Microsoft account. Your ad spend and billing always stay in your own Microsoft Advertising account.
