Zinn® SEO how-to: Plan the internal links of your whole site

Step by step in Zinn® SEO: Let Zinn® SEO Pro plan every internal link like an SEO expert: a hub page for each topic, every orphan page linked, the right number of links per page, natural words in the best sentence. Review it, apply it, undo it in one click.

Plan the internal links of your whole site

Let Zinn® SEO Pro plan every internal link like an SEO expert: a hub page for each topic, every orphan page linked, the right number of links per page, natural words in the best sentence. Review it, apply it, undo it in one click.

  1. Build the link plan — Open Link plan in the SEO menu (under Links, marked Pro) and press Build the link plan. Zinn® SEO reads every published page in the background from the link index (build it first under Links, Overview). Building the plan changes nothing on your pages and costs nothing: 100,000 pages take about 32 minutes and at most 141 MB of memory.
  2. Read your link health — Site link health is a score from 0 to 100: how well your pages link to each other, held down by pages nothing links to (search engines may never find those). Under it you see how many pages have no link pointing to them and how many link nowhere. Each page has its own score too, with the reasons.
  3. See your topics and their hub pages — Open Topics and their hub pages. Each topic is a category, and its hub is your cornerstone page for it, or the page Search Console shows as its best, or the page the topic already links to most. Pages link up to their hub, and the hub links out to them. Approve or reject a whole topic in one click.
  4. Review the links one by one — Each proposed link shows the page it goes on, the page it points to, and the sentence with the link words marked. The words are always your own, never in a heading, and varied: the same words point to a page at most twice, and words that exactly repeat a page's main phrase stay a minority. No page gets more links than its length carries, and nothing links to a page hidden from search or redirected. Approve or Reject each, or pick several.
  5. Add the links, or undo them — Press Approve all if you are happy, then Add the approved links to the pages. They go in in the background, one revision per page, so you can compare or restore any page. Undo this run takes every link it added off again in one click; a link someone changed since is kept. When an important link has no natural words yet, Let the AI choose the words picks the best sentence, from your Zinn® credits or your own AI key, for you to review. It costs about $0.0003 per page the AI reads (measured on our own account); the screen shows the total first.
  6. Keep new pages linked — Every page you publish gets links in and out planned straight away, under New pages in the Plan list. Turn on Add the links for new pages automatically in Plan settings to have them added without a review, each one a revision you can undo. In Plan settings you can also choose how many words of text carry one link and the most links on one page.
