The Zinn® Media Offload plugin
Move a media library to Zinn® object storage and serve it from a CDN, without typing an access key into WordPress.
Media Offload moves the images and files in your WordPress media library into Zinn® object storage and serves them from a CDN. The web server then goes back to running your site instead of posting pictures.
Why no access key
The plugin never holds a storage credential. It is configured from your Zinn® dashboard and receives a short-lived permission when it needs one. A stolen copy of your WordPress database therefore does not contain a key to your storage — which is the usual way offload plugins leak.
Setting it up
- In your Zinn® dashboard, turn on object storage for the site.
- Install the plugin and open Settings → Zinn® Media Offload. It should already say it is
- Run the first sweep. Existing media is uploaded in the background — a large library takes a
connected; there is nothing to paste.

New uploads go straight to storage from then on.
What your URLs look like
Media URLs change to the CDN address. Old URLs keep working, so posts you have already published do not break and you do not need to search and replace anything.
Turning it off
Deactivating stops new uploads being offloaded and puts URLs back to your own domain. Files already in storage are still there; ask us and we will copy them back down before you remove storage from the plan, so nothing is lost in either direction.
If an image does not appear
Check it in the media library first — if the thumbnail is missing there too, the upload failed rather than the CDN. The sweeper retries failures on its next run, so a handful of files that failed during a network blip fix themselves within the hour.
