Zinn® Cache: Lighter pages

What Zinn® Cache does for lighter pages, and which of it is free.

What it does

  • Heartbeat control — Slow the WordPress Heartbeat to once a minute, or switch it off on the public site, so fewer requests reach PHP.
  • Text shows while web fonts load — Google Fonts get display=swap, so text appears at once in a fallback font, and the browser connects to the font server early. Early connections can be added for any other server your pages use.
  • CDN address for images, CSS and scripts — Serve files under /wp-content/ and /wp-includes/ from a pull CDN such as BunnyCDN or KeyCDN. Pages themselves stay on your server, and any address can be kept local.
  • WebP and AVIF images (Pro) — Modern image formats are made beside your originals and served to browsers that support them. One click removes them again.
  • Remove unused CSS (Pro) — Each page loads only the CSS it uses, with safe defaults that leave checkout and consent tools alone.
  • Delay JavaScript (Pro) — Scripts that are not needed straight away wait until the visitor interacts, which shortens the time to a usable page.
  • Database clean-up with a preview (Pro) — Revisions, auto-drafts, spam, trash and orphaned metadata removed on a schedule, after showing exactly what will go.
  • Missing image sizes added (Pro) — Images printed by your theme or page builder without a width and height get their real size from the file, so the page does not jump as they load.

Free or Pro

A feature marked (Pro) needs a Pro licence; (Agency plan) needs the Agency plan. Everything else is in the free edition.
