Why a listing hides or masks its domain until you buy

On link and placement listings the real address is masked until purchase. That protects the seller's asset and it does not leave you buying blind.

If a listing shows a masked domain rather than the real website address, this explains why and what you can still see.

On listings where the domain is the product - backlinks, guest posts, niche edits - the storefront does not show the real address until you have bought.

Why

A publisher's list of placement sites is the thing they have built a business out of. If the addresses were public, anyone could copy the list, approach the sites directly, and the publisher would have given away their whole inventory to browse it.

What you can see before you buy

Everything you need to judge it, except the name:

  • The authority figures, measured by us and stamped with the date we checked - Trust
  • Flow, Citation Flow, referring domains and Topical Trust Flow.

  • An example page on the site, so you can see the quality of what is published there.
  • The terms - whether the link is followed, and how long it stays.
  • The seller's record - their ratings from completed orders.

Those figures are ours, not the seller's. They cannot be typed in or edited, which is what makes them worth reading.

What you cannot do

You cannot browse the masked list to work out which domains a publisher holds. Reveals are tied to a purchase.

After you buy

You get the address, and the listing is bound to it. If the seller changes the domain afterwards, the listing goes back through review - the asset you paid to see is the asset that was approved.
