Blueprints: building the same site twice
Save a site you like as a template and build the next one from it, stack, plugins and settings included.
A blueprint is a site you have already got right, saved so the next one starts there instead of starting empty.
Making one
Sites → Site blueprints → New, then pick an existing site. We capture its stack, PHP version, plugins, theme, and the settings that are safe to copy. We deliberately do not capture its content, its domain, its licence keys or its database — those are the parts that must differ between two sites.
Using one
Choose the blueprint on the new-site screen, or in Bulk deploy to build many at once. The new site comes up with everything already installed and configured.
Keeping it current
A blueprint is a snapshot, not a live link. Update the source site, then re-save the blueprint from it — otherwise every new site starts from the plugin versions of the day the blueprint was made.
⭐ Where this pays for itself is the fifth site, not the second. If you build sites that resemble each other, the blueprint is the difference between forty minutes of setup and one click, and it removes the mistakes that come from doing the same fiddly thing repeatedly.
