A/B testing with Page Builder Sandwich

Test two versions of a section, count visitors and conversions, and see which version wins with 95% confidence.

Page Builder Sandwich Pro can test two versions of a section and show you which one converts better.

Start a test

  1. Add the A/B test block. It holds Version A and Version B; switch between them with
  2. the tabs above the block and edit each one.

  3. In the block's settings, name the test and choose the share of visitors who see version B
  4. (half, unless you change it).

  5. A conversion is a click on a link or button inside the version, or a form sent from it. To
  6. count a click elsewhere instead (a "Buy" button further down, for example), enter its CSS selector as the Goal.

  7. Publish the page.

Each visitor is shown one version and keeps seeing it. Each visitor counts once as a visitor and at most once as a conversion.

Read the results

Open Page Builder Sandwich → A/B tests: each test shows its visitors, conversions and conversion rate per version. Once both versions have at least 30 visitors, the screen tells you when one version wins with 95% confidence; until then it says there is no clear winner yet.

With the cookie banner on, a visitor who has not accepted analytics sees version A and is not counted.
