Where to start
Open Migrations in the menu and press Migrate a site here — that creates the site and starts the move in one go. For a site you have already created, open it and go to Restore & import → Migrate from another host.
Type your old host's server address and press Check my current host. We work out what it is running and fill the form in, so you are only asked for the login that will actually work.
What you need
An SSH or SFTP login: a password or a private key. We check what the login can actually reach — files, mysqldump, the database — and show you before anything moves.
What moves
Files always. Databases when the server lets the login run a database dump; if it cannot, we say so up front and you can add an archive or ask us to finish it.
⭐ Most managed WordPress hosts (including the ones that give you only SFTP and a WordPress login) work this way. If SSH commands are blocked, use the Zinn® Migrate plugin instead.
It is free, and there is no limit
Every migration is free, on every plan, for as many sites as you have. Doing it yourself is the fastest way. If you would rather we did it, open the site, go to Restore & import, and use Or have us do it for you — free: an engineer starts within 72 hours, and that is free too. See Asking us to migrate a site for you.
