How Zinn® Ads checks your tracking and recovers missed conversions

Every day your real sales, trials and leads are compared with what each ad network credited; while they disagree the autopilot judges nothing on the network's counts, the fix assistant says what is wrong, and every missed outcome is uploaded once.

Ad networks miss real sales. A visitor clicks your ad, leaves for a payment page, comes back, clicks again — and the click id the network needed is gone. Every upload looks fine, and the network simply credits fewer sales than you made. Zinn® Ads checks this for every ad account you connect, every day, and fixes what it can by itself.

The tracking truth check

Each day we compare the real outcomes from your own records — sales from your store, trials from your plugin, leads from your CRM, or anything you send to the events API — with what Google Ads or Microsoft Advertising credited over the same 7 days. The newest 2 days are left out: a network reports an uploaded conversion hours later.

  • Reliable — the two agree within 10%.
  • Unreliable — they are more than 10% apart, in either direction. Fewer means the network
  • misses sales; more usually means two conversion actions count the same sale.

  • Could not read — you have real outcomes but we could not read what the network counted.
  • That is never treated as a pass.

At least 5 real outcomes are needed before a percentage means anything.

Decisions on hold while the numbers are wrong

While an account's tracking is unreliable (or unreadable), the autopilot does not judge, cut or pause anything on the network's counts: no budget is trimmed or moved, no keyword is paused as "waste", no bid is changed because of conversions the network did not see. Any such change waits for you in the approval queue with the reason on its card, and the account screen says plainly how far apart the numbers are. It lifts by itself once a check agrees again.

What the fix assistant looks for

Each check also tells you, in plain words, what is wrong and how to fix it:

  • outcomes that arrived without an ad click id (gclid, gbraid, wbraid or msclkid);
  • visitors who came back from a payment page (checkout.freemius.com, checkout.stripe.com, buy.stripe.com, paypal.com and others)
  • without the click id — the return click replaced the ad's;

  • outcomes that happened on another site (a download on a plugin directory, a checkout on a
  • vendor's site), where your tag cannot see them;

  • no network tag on your website's home page;
  • no upload action for a kind of outcome, or an upload action that does not count toward
  • bidding.

Missed-conversion recovery

Every real outcome with an ad click id is uploaded to the network once, as an offline conversion, within the network's 90-day window. Each one carries your own order or trial id, so the network never counts the same sale twice. Pick the offline-upload conversion action for each kind (sales, trials, leads, sign-ups) on the account's tracking card. The card shows the before and after: what the network credited, how many we uploaded, and what it can now credit.

  • On uploads every day. Check only asks Google to check the upload fully and keep nothing
  • (Microsoft has no such mode, so nothing is sent). Off sends nothing.

  • Nothing is uploaded while the account is paused, the kill switch is on, or your Zinn® account
  • is not paid up; it resumes by itself the moment it is.

Send your real outcomes

Send each sale, trial or lead to POST /v1/ads/connections/{id}/outcomes with your own order id (external_ref), when it happened, its value in minor units and currency, and the ad click id the visitor arrived with. Up to 500 at a time; the same order twice is stored once. A plain e-mail address is turned into a code (SHA-256) at the door and never kept. An AI assistant connected to your account (MCP) can do the same with ads_outcomes_record, read the check with ads_tracking and run it with ads_tracking_check.
