How Zinn® Ads autopilot settings work

For each ad account choose, per kind of change, Ask me first, Automatic or Never; set spend ceilings, Hold until a sale, a return target, markets and competitor campaigns. Each plan shows what it includes.

Every connected ad account has its own Autopilot settings (Zinn® Ads, the account's card). They decide what Zinn® Ads may change in that account by itself, and what waits for you.

Each kind of change: Ask me first, Automatic or Never

The kinds are: negative keywords, keywords, pausing and re-enabling, budgets, bids, exclusions, new campaigns, and then ads, assets, audiences and conversions. Every kind starts as Ask me first: the change waits under Needs you until you approve it.

When you switch a kind to Automatic, the screen first tells you, in plain words, what Zinn® Ads will then do by itself, for example "Zinn® Ads will add negative keywords by itself, so your ads stop showing for searches that cost money and never sell." Nothing changes until you confirm. Automatic changes are listed under Changes and in the daily e-mail, and each one can be undone for 30 days. Never means that kind of change is not made at all.

Spend ceilings

A daily and a monthly ceiling, in the account's own currency. A change that would take the account's budgets above either ceiling is refused, automatic or approved.

Hold until a sale

On by default. Zinn® Ads does not raise a budget by itself until the account has had a sale (a conversion) in the last 30 days. Until then, a raise waits for you under Needs you, marked as held. Lowering a budget is never held.

Return target (ROAS)

Optional. For example 4 means 4 back for every 1 spent, over the last 30 days. While the account is below it, Zinn® Ads raises no budget by itself; the raise waits for you instead.

Markets and languages

The countries and languages new campaigns may run in. When you launch a plan from Simple mode, campaigns outside these markets are left out. Leave the list empty to allow every market.

Competitor campaigns

Campaigns for people searching for your competitors (such as "… alternative"). A competitor's name is never used in your ad text. Launched only while this is on.

What each plan includes

  • Free: Ask me first and Never for every kind, spend ceilings, one language. The rest is
  • shown locked, with the plan that includes it.

  • Starter: also Automatic, Hold until a sale and the return target.
  • Pro and Agency: also several languages and competitor campaigns.

If you move to a smaller plan, a kind set to Automatic is not lost: its changes wait for your approval instead, until you upgrade again.

Every settings change is recorded with who made it, and what changed.
