The link tracker
Every link you have placed, whether it is still live, and what the page carrying it is worth.
Links → your link sets. The tracker exists because links get removed, and nobody tells you.
What it records
Where the link is, where it points, the anchor text, and the authority of the page carrying it. Each one is re-checked on a rota, so a link removed in March is flagged in March rather than discovered next year.
The states
Live — found on the page, pointing where you said. Changed — still there, but the target or the anchor is not what was recorded. Often a redirect, sometimes a rewrite. Missing — the page loads and the link is not on it. Unreachable — the page did not load. Not the same as missing, and deliberately separate: a site that is down for a day is not a link that has been removed.
Adding links
One at a time, or as a bulk import from a spreadsheet. The bulk editor is also how you fix a batch after a site migration changes everybody's URLs.
What the authority figures mean
They come from our SEO data provider and describe the page and the domain carrying your link. They are somebody else's estimate, not a fact — useful for comparing two links, not worth agonising over to a decimal place.
⚠️ A link marked Missing is worth checking by hand before you act on it. Some sites serve different HTML to a crawler than to a person, and the honest reading of one Missing result on an otherwise healthy site is "look at it", not "they removed it".
