Let your AI assistant do anything the dashboard can

A connected assistant can search the whole Zinn Digital® API, read anything you allow and make changes you confirm — except payments and passwords.

Every screen in your dashboard is built on our API. When you connect an AI tool (see Connecting Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT to your account), it gets the named tools for the common jobs — sites, DNS, email, backups, boards — and three tools that reach the rest of the API:

  • Search the API finds the operation for a task ("change a site's PHP settings", "add a
  • mail forwarder") and tells the assistant what it needs to send.

  • Read from the API runs any read-only operation your connection is allowed to run.
  • Change something through the API runs an operation that changes something — but only
  • after you have agreed to that exact change.

It can never do more than you allowed

The assistant acts as the connection, with exactly the permissions you ticked when you made it. Our API checks those permissions on every call, the same way it checks an API key. A connection made by a team member is limited by that member's own access.

To let an assistant do more, open Settings → AI tools, make a new connection and tick the extra permissions it needs. Start with read-only permissions and add more when you trust it.

What it will not do

  • Pay for anything. Buying a plan, a domain or credits is priced first, and you pay on
  • your own payment page. The assistant can prepare the quote; it cannot complete the payment.

  • Create or change passwords, keys or team access. New API keys, AI connections, team
  • members and roles stay in the dashboard, where you sign in yourself.

  • Close your account.

Trying it safely

Turn on Sandbox mode when you make the connection. A sandbox connection reads your real account, so the answers are real, but every change it tries is reported back to you instead of being made — you see exactly what it would have done.

Every action is recorded

Each call is written to your activity log against the connection that made it, so you can always see what an assistant did and revoke its connection at once.

Developers can read every operation in the API reference at zinndigital.com/developers/api, and the AI tools at zinndigital.com/developers/mcp.
