DDoS protection for your server

Add network-level protection against flood attacks of up to 10 Gbps to a server, see its monthly price first, and remove it at any time.

DDoS protection filters attacks that try to flood your server's network, before the traffic reaches the server. It covers floods of up to 10 Gbps and is always on once you add it.

Where it is offered

On servers in our extended locations, including bare metal. If a server's location offers it, the server's page shows a DDoS protection card. If there is no card, the location does not offer it.

Adding or removing it

  1. Open the server under Servers.
  2. On the DDoS protection card, check the monthly price, then choose Add DDoS protection.
  3. To remove it, choose Remove DDoS protection. The charge stops at once.

The price is added to the server's bill while protection is on: by the hour on a pay-by-the-hour server, or from the next renewal on a monthly or yearly one. Deleting the server stops it too.

What it does not do

It filters network floods. It does not replace a firewall, updates or backups: keep the server's Firewall rules tight and take snapshots before risky changes.
