Crypto auto-renew: pay each renewal in cryptocurrency

How crypto auto-renew e-mails you a payment link before each renewal, why your card is not charged while it is on, and how to turn it off.

Crypto auto-renew lets you pay each renewal of a hosting subscription in cryptocurrency, without remembering when it is due. Turn it on from Billing, on the card called Crypto auto-renew under the subscription.

How it works

  1. You turn it on and choose the e-mail address the payment links go to (your billing e-mail if
  2. you leave it empty).

  3. When the subscription next renews, our crypto payment partner NOWPayments e-mails you a
  4. payment link for the renewal amount, tax included.

  5. You open the link and pay in the coin you prefer.
  6. The payment is credited to your account and settles the renewal invoice straight away. If you
  7. pay before the invoice is raised, the credit waits in your account and the renewal uses it on the day.

  8. Before each later renewal NOWPayments e-mails you a new link — every 30 days for a
  9. monthly plan and every 365 days for an annual one.

Your card and PayPal are not charged

While crypto auto-renew is on, we never charge a stored card or PayPal for that subscription. Paying the link is your payment. This is what stops a renewal being paid twice.

If a renewal is not paid, the usual reminders and the renewal invoice still reach you, and you can pay that invoice any way you like — including with crypto from the invoice itself.

Changing plan

If you upgrade or downgrade, crypto auto-renew carries on. The next link asks for the new price; nothing already paid changes.

Turning it off

Press Turn off crypto auto-renew on the same card. We tell NOWPayments to stop the links first, and your next renewal is invoiced as usual. Turning renewal off, moving the subscription to PayPal billing or cancelling the subscription also turns crypto auto-renew off.

Good to know

  • Crypto auto-renew covers the plan price and its tax. Anything extra on a renewal invoice, such
  • as usage above your plan, is shown on that invoice for you to pay there.

  • A payment that arrives only partly paid is not credited automatically. Finish it from the link
  • or contact support with the payment number.

  • If you pay more than once for the same renewal, the extra stays as credit and pays the next one.
  • Credit on your account is not refundable, and it never expires.
