Moving an SEO tool to a bigger or smaller plan

A bigger plan starts now and costs only the difference for the days left. A smaller plan is chosen for your renewal and costs nothing now.

Every SEO tool — rank tracking, site audits, backlink monitoring, keyword research, domain overview, brand mentions, local rankings, client reports and the rest — comes in plans of different sizes. You hold one plan of each tool at a time. Packs (extra keywords, extra audits, extra searches) are different: they add to whatever plan you have and you can hold as many as you like.

Moving to a bigger plan

Open the bigger plan's page under Billing → Add-ons. It tells you what you have now, what you will pay today and what the new plan renews at.

  • You pay only the difference for the days left in the period you have already paid for.
  • Upgrading halfway through a month costs half the difference.

  • A difference under 1.00 in your currency is not charged at all.
  • The bigger plan works at once, your old plan stops, and the new one renews on **the same day
  • of the month** your old one did, at its own full price.

  • A yearly plan stays yearly: the upgrade is worked out on the year.

Moving to a smaller plan

A smaller plan is never bought mid-period. Open the smaller plan's page and press Switch at renewal.

  • Nothing is charged now, and your current plan keeps working until its renewal date.
  • On the renewal date the smaller plan replaces it, and you are billed the smaller plan's price
  • instead — same day, same currency, same monthly or yearly term.

  • Your add-ons list shows Switches to … on … until then. Changed your mind? Open the same
  • page and press Keep — your current plan simply renews as it is.

  • If you track more than the smaller plan allows (keywords, sites, brands…), nothing is deleted:
  • the items over the allowance are kept and are not checked until you remove some or move up again.

Discounts still apply

The 20% saving for holding three or more SEO tools, and the yearly saving, are worked out on the day each renewal bills — so a plan change never loses a discount you are entitled to.
