How to build a new website with AI

Describe your business, preview the site the AI writes, and publish it to a new site on a free address — no domain, repository or design skills needed. Your first build is covered by a one-time free AI credit.

The AI website builder writes a complete website from a few sentences: every page, the copy and the styling. You look it over, change what you like, and publish it. Nothing goes live until you choose to publish.

1. Describe your site

  1. Open Sites and press Create site, then press Build with AI. You can also open
  2. AI, then Zinn® AI, then the Build a site tab.

  3. Under What should the site be?, describe the business, the pages you want and the
  4. feel of the site. For example: "A bakery in Leeds with a home page, a menu, opening hours and a contact page. Warm, friendly, lots of white space."

  5. Press Build my site. Writing a site takes one to three minutes; the draft appears in
  6. Your builds when it is ready.

The cost is shown before you build: your AI credit balance and what you have spent on building are at the top of the screen. Every account gets a one-time free AI credit for its first builds — once per account, not per month.

2. Preview it

  1. In Your builds, press Preview on the draft.
  2. The draft's home page is shown with its own styling. Images and scripts appear on the
  3. published site.

  4. Not quite right? Change the brief and press Build a new draft, or pick a single file
  5. under Files and edit it. Edits change the draft only.

3. Publish it

  1. Press Publish on the draft.
  2. To give it a brand-new home, press Put it on a new site. Choose one of your plans, keep
  3. No domain yet to use a free address, and press Create site. You come back to the builder with the new site chosen.

  4. A new site takes a few minutes to set up. The builder says so and checks again by itself;
  5. when the site is ready, choose Replace it entirely, type the site's address to confirm, and publish.

  6. When publishing finishes, open the address to see your site live.

You can also publish to a static site you already have with us, or to Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, GitHub Pages or GitLab Pages. A WordPress or PHP site on our servers is published through a GitHub or GitLab repository connected to it.

Good to know

  • Replacing a site's content always takes a backup first, so it can be put back.
  • The free address is for building and testing. When you are ready, move the site onto your
  • own domain under the site's Domains & DNS.

  • Builds are paid from your AI credit, or from your own AI provider key if you connected one.
