Ready straight away
Pay in the same window, type a short name and press Create database. The database exists as soon as the page answers.
Add-on
Every website on our servers has its own MySQL database. On plans with a fixed number of databases, add another one to a website when it needs it, ready as soon as you pay.
Some plans include a fixed number of databases per website, for example PBN hosting and the plans that list 2 or 4 databases. When a website needs one more, for a second application, a separate shop or a copy of its data to test with, this add-on gives that website another MySQL database for a monthly charge.
Plans that say “Unlimited databases”, such as WordPress hosting, never need it: create as many databases as you like there. This add-on is not offered on those plans.
A real database beside the website’s own, managed from the same card.
Pay in the same window, type a short name and press Create database. The database exists as soon as the page answers.
The website’s own database user can use the new database too, so the site’s one-click phpMyAdmin shows it beside the site’s database.
Each extra database also has its own username and a password we show you once and do not store.
Delete a database and we take a backup first and keep it for 30 days. If the backup cannot be made, nothing is deleted.
In your dashboard, choose the website and open its Databases card.
When every included database is in use, buy one more and pay in the same window.
Type a short name, copy the password we show once, and connect your application.
A monthly charge per extra database, on the same invoice as your hosting.
$1.00/month
Plans with unlimited databases include them at no charge. Add-ons are bought per site from your dashboard and appear on your normal invoice — no separate account, no second bill and no minimum term. Prices exclude tax, which is worked out from your billing country at checkout.
There is no need. WordPress plans include unlimited databases, so you can create as many as you like.
Up to 10 extra databases per website, on top of the databases its plan includes.
Yes. The website’s database size limit covers its own database and every extra one together, and the usage meter adds them up.
We back it up first and keep the backup for 30 days. Ask support within that time if you need it back.
No. Extra databases are for websites on our own servers. For a database that is its own product, see managed databases.
Create a free account, open the website's Databases card, and add a database in the same window you pay in.
