Hear when the web talks about you

Tell us the phrases that matter — your brand, a product, a person — and we find the news stories, blog posts and shop pages that mention them, show you whether each one reads positive or negative, and tell you when new ones appear.

What it is

People write about businesses in places the business never sees: a local news story, a comparison post, a forum-style review on somebody's blog, a reseller's product page. By the time a customer quotes one back to you it has been working on your reputation for weeks.

Brand mentions listens for the phrases you choose across news, blogs, organisations' sites and online shops. Each check finds the newest pages that use the exact phrase, counts every page that does, and sorts them into positive, neutral and negative so the ones worth an answer are easy to find.

What you get

Built to find the pages that matter, not a pile of loose keyword matches.

The exact phrase

We search for your phrase as a phrase. A two-word brand is not matched on pages that merely contain both words somewhere.

Every page, linked

Each mention comes with its page, the site it is on, its headline, a short excerpt and the date it was published when the page gives one.

Positive, neutral or negative

Every page is read for tone, and the totals show how the whole conversation leans — so a negative story stands out the day it appears.

The trend over time

Every check adds a point, so you can see whether you are being talked about more or less than last month.

Told when it is new

When a check finds pages we had not seen before, we e-mail you a summary. A phrase's first check is your starting point and does not flood your inbox.

Your schedule

Check each phrase every day, every week or every month. Your plan includes a number of checks a month, and the screen shows exactly how many a schedule uses before you save it.

How it works

  1. Add your phrases

Your brand, your products, your key people — up to the number your plan includes, on any domain you watch with us.

  2. Choose how often

Daily for the ones that matter most, weekly or monthly for the rest.

  3. Read and reply

Open the list, filter it by tone, and go straight to the pages that need an answer.

What it costs

A monthly plan sized by how many phrases you listen for and how many checks a month they get. Add a pack of five more phrases and fifty more checks at any time.

If an invoice goes unpaid, checks pause and pick up again once it is settled. Add-ons are bought per site from your dashboard and appear on your normal invoice — no separate account, no second bill and no minimum term. Prices exclude tax, which is worked out from your billing country at checkout.

Hold 3 or more SEO tools and every one of them is 20% cheaper. Pay yearly as well and the two savings stack.

Questions

Where do you look?

News sites, blogs, organisations' websites and online shops. We do not read private social-media accounts or anything behind a login.

How many pages do I see?

Each check shows the newest pages that mention a phrase — up to a hundred — beside the total number of pages that do. Pages we have found stay on your list after later checks.

What counts as one check?

One phrase, checked once. A phrase checked every week uses about four or five checks a month; checked every day it uses thirty.

Can I check now instead of waiting?

Yes. Check now re-reads every phrase that has not been checked in the last twenty hours, using your month's checks. There is no extra charge.

Will you remove a negative page?

No, and be wary of anyone who says they will. We tell you it is there, and how the conversation moves, so you can reply where it matters.
