Store migration
WooCommerce to Shopify migration
Moving from WooCommerce to Shopify is the moment to get the shop you actually want. The risk is the URLs, and that is the part we take off you.
Price your move
Your price is worked out for your exact store and the options you choose. Moving onto our hosting is the simplest — we build the new store and look after it afterwards — but you can move to any platform.
What we move from WooCommerce
A specialist runs the migration and checks it. You keep trading on WooCommerce until the day you switch.
- Products, with variants, options, pricing, stock levels, categories and images.
- Customer accounts with their addresses and order history, and their passwords where the source platform releases them.
- Orders with line items, totals, taxes and statuses, so your reporting and your accounts still reconcile.
- Blog posts, pages, reviews and navigation.
- Media, re-uploaded to the new site rather than hot-linked back to a store you are about to close.
What “no SEO loss” actually means here
Your WooCommerce URLs will not survive the move to Shopify — the two platforms build addresses differently. What survives is the ranking, provided every old address points at its new one.
- Every old URL mapped to its new one and served as a 301, so the links and rankings you already have keep working.
- Canonical tags checked on the new site, so two addresses for one page cannot split your authority.
- A fresh sitemap generated and resubmitted, so the new URLs are found in days rather than months.
- Product, review and article structured data carried across and validated, so rich results and AI answer engines still recognise your pages.
- A check against your own pages before handover — not a script that reports success and walks away.
How a WooCommerce to Shopify migration runs
- You choose WooCommerce and Shopify, tell us roughly how big your store is, and see your price straight away. No discovery phase, no hourly billing.
- We take a read-only copy of your WooCommerce data and build the Shopify store alongside your live shop — on our hosting where we can, or in the Shopify account you already have.
- We map every old WooCommerce URL to its new Shopify one and load the redirects, then check the canonical tags, the sitemap and the structured data.
- You walk the new store and tell us what is wrong. We fix it before anything goes live.
- You choose when to switch the DNS. Your customers see the new Shopify shop; anyone arriving on an old WooCommerce link is redirected to the right page.
What we will not claim
We will not tell you your WooCommerce theme can be moved to Shopify — it cannot, on any platform, by anybody. We will not promise your rankings will improve. And where WooCommerce refuses to release something, we will tell you before you pay rather than after. What we do promise is that no customer arriving on an old link finds a dead page.
Questions people ask before they buy
Is a WooCommerce to Shopify migration safe for my SEO?
Yes, if the redirects are done. Your WooCommerce URLs change when you move to Shopify, and a page whose address changes with no redirect looks to Google like a page that was deleted. We map every one of them and serve a 301, which tells search engines the page moved and carries its ranking with it. Our system refuses to mark the job finished until that map exists.
Will my WooCommerce shop go down during the move?
No. Your WooCommerce store keeps trading while we build the Shopify one beside it. The only change your customers see is at the DNS switch, which takes minutes and happens when you say so.
What does a WooCommerce to Shopify migration cost?
It depends on the size of your store and the options you choose, and you see the exact figure before you order — use the calculator on this page. Agencies typically charge thousands for the same job and want a paid discovery phase first; we do not.
Do my WooCommerce customers have to reset their passwords?
Only if WooCommerce will not release the password hashes. Where it does, accounts move across and nobody notices. Where it does not, we set up a reset flow and tell you before you pay so you can warn your customers.
Can you move my WooCommerce apps and plugins?
The apps themselves, no — they are built for WooCommerce and do not exist on Shopify. We will tell you which Shopify extension does the same job for each one that matters to you, and set it up as part of the move.
What happens to my WooCommerce store afterwards?
That is your call. Most people keep the WooCommerce subscription running for a month after the switch, as a safety net and a reference, then cancel it. We do not touch it either way — closing your old account is a decision with billing consequences and it is yours to make.
