How Nextcloud and ownCloud hosting works

Your own Nextcloud or ownCloud on our servers: NVMe or object-storage plans, a user limit per plan, a warning at 90% and paused uploads (never deleted files) when an object plan is full.

Our Nextcloud hosting gives you your own Nextcloud (or ownCloud) for files, calendars and contacts, on our own servers. Choose Nextcloud or ownCloud when you create the website; we install the current release for you.

The plans

PlanPrice a monthStorageUsers
Zinn® Nextcloud Personal$24.9950 GB on the server's NVMe disk5
Zinn® Nextcloud Team$94.99200 GB on the server's NVMe disk25
Zinn® Nextcloud Business$239.99500 GB on the server's NVMe disk100
Zinn® Nextcloud Object Personal$29.99250 GB of object storage, kept twice5
Zinn® Nextcloud Object Team$84.991 TB of object storage, kept twice25
Zinn® Nextcloud Object Business$219.993 TB of object storage, kept twice100

Prices are in US dollars; the checkout shows the price in your currency, plus any tax.

  • NVMe plans keep your files on the server's fast disk, next to the application.
  • Object plans keep the application on the server and your files in our object storage, with
  • a second copy in a separate backup store. They suit large libraries at a lower price per GB.

The number of users is enforced inside Nextcloud: when the plan's users are all in use, a new user cannot be added until you remove one or upgrade.

When an object plan's storage fills up

We measure how much each object-plan website stores once a day.

  • At 90% you get an e-mail and a notice on your dashboard.
  • At 100% new uploads pause. Everything you already have stays: you can still
  • open, download, share and delete files.

  • We never delete your files because a plan is full.

To start uploading again, delete files you no longer need or upgrade to a bigger plan. Uploads start again on their own after the next measurement shows there is room, and the notice goes away.

Deleting the website

When you delete a Nextcloud website on an object plan, its files are removed from our object storage too. Download anything you want to keep first.
