Zinn® SEO: Redirects and protection

What Zinn® SEO does for redirects and protection, and which of it is free.

What it does

  • Redirect manager — 301, 302, 307 and 308 redirects, 410 gone and 451 unavailable for legal reasons; regular-expression patterns with $1 captures, groups, notes, hit counts, a tester that follows every hop, bulk actions and spreadsheet import and export.
  • Automatic redirects — A changed slug, parent or category writes a redirect from the old address (a page with children moves them all with one rule); a deleted post or product sends visitors to its parent or category, or answers 410; publishing it again removes the redirect.
  • Chain and loop fixer — New redirects never create a chain: older rules are pointed at the new address. A check finds chains, loops and missing targets and fixes them in one click.
  • Import redirects from other plugins — Redirection, Yoast SEO Premium, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress and Safe Redirect Manager, even after they are deactivated, plus spreadsheets and .htaccess rules; a dry run first.
  • 404 monitor that cannot fill your database — Each missing address is one counter: how often, first and last seen, the page that linked to it; robots kept apart, scanners ignored, at most 10,000 addresses kept; redirect any of them in one click, with a suggested page, and a weekly e-mail.
  • Safe permalink and domain changes — Before a new permalink structure, category base or domain, see every address that will move; the redirects are written first, then the switch is made. Old domain names keep reaching the right page.
  • Site search insights — What visitors search for on your own site and which searches find nothing, turned into new pages in one click. One counter per phrase; who searched is never kept.
  • Hacked-site SEO spam scan — Finds the Japanese keyword hack, links hidden from visitors, spam links, scripts from unknown sites, stray sitemaps, and pages that show Google something different from visitors. Pro scans every week and e-mails anything new.
  • Fast redirects (Pro) — Redirects are answered before your theme loads, from an index that is as fast with 100,000 redirects as with ten. Pro answers them before any plugin loads, keeps them in .htaccess, or exports them for Nginx, Apache and Caddy.
  • Server-level redirect export (Pro) — Every redirect as Nginx, Apache (.htaccess or RewriteMap) and Caddy rules, so the web server answers them without starting WordPress.
  • SEO lock (Pro) — Protect your most important pages: their address, noindex and canonical change only when the change is confirmed, and every change is logged with who and when.

Free or Pro

A feature marked (Pro) needs a Pro licence; (Agency plan) needs the Agency plan. Everything else is in the free edition.
