Tell Google who runs your site

Give your site its name in search results and describe the organisation behind it: its kind, registration, telephone and address.

  1. Open the Knowledge graph — Go to SEO, Structured data, Knowledge graph.
  2. Name the site for search results — Under The site's name in search results, type the name Google should show above your results and, if you like, another name or abbreviation. Leave it empty to use the site title.
  3. Describe the organisation — Under Who runs the site, choose a company, and give the kind of organisation as a schema.org type, such as NewsMediaOrganization or Corporation, with what it does and when it was founded.
  4. Add its registration and contact details — Fill in the registered company name, tax and VAT numbers, the main telephone number and the postal address. Only what you fill in is published.
  5. Save — Press Save changes. Check any page on the Check tab to see the organisation in its structured data.
