Zinn® SEO how-to: Switch off features you do not use and Go back to an earlier version of Zinn® SEO

Step by step in Zinn® SEO: Turn whole parts of the plugin off. A part that is off loads no code at all, so your site stays fast.

Switch off features you do not use

Edition: free. This is in the free Zinn® SEO; no Pro licence is needed.

Turn whole parts of the plugin off. A part that is off loads no code at all, so your site stays fast.

  1. Open Features — Go to SEO, Settings, Features. Every part of the plugin is listed with what it does. Use Find a feature to search.
  2. Switch a part off — Switch off what you do not use. A part that others need tells you which ones stop with it.
  3. Switch on an extra — Some parts are off until you want them, such as Dublin Core tags for library and archive sites.

Go back to an earlier version of Zinn® SEO

Edition: free. This is in the free Zinn® SEO; no Pro licence is needed.

If an update causes a problem, go back to an earlier version in one click. If anything breaks, your site is put back by itself.

  1. Open Version — Go to SEO, Settings, Version. The table lists the earlier versions your site can go back to, with the day each was released.
  2. Choose a version — A version that cannot read the data your site has now, or does not run on your WordPress or PHP, says why and cannot be chosen.
  3. Press Go back — The plugin keeps a copy of the version you have, installs the earlier one and checks your home page and admin. If either stops working, the copy goes back at once.
