What you get
The registration, DNS hosted here, WHOIS privacy where the registry allows it, and a certificate on any site you attach it to. There is no separate charge for DNS or for the certificate.
What it costs to renew
Check the renewal price, not only the first-year price. Some extensions are cheap for a year and dear afterwards; the screen shows both before you buy, because a renewal that surprises you a year later is our fault for not saying.
The first hour
A new registration usually resolves within minutes, occasionally within an hour for the slower registries. Until it does, a site attached to it serves on its temporary address and the certificate sits pending — that is normal and needs nothing from you.
Your details are the registrant's details
Registries require real contact details and check some of them. An unverifiable email address gets a domain suspended by the registry, not by us, and getting it back is slow. Use one you read.
Extensions with extra rules
Some need a local presence, a company number, or a trademark. The screen tells you before you pay rather than after, and if a registry rejects a registration you are refunded in full.
