Choosing what to offer your clients

Which services appear in your clients' panel, and what turning one on commits you to.

Reseller → Services is the menu your clients see. Anything switched off there does not exist as far as they are concerned — no screen, no nav entry, no upsell.

Start narrower than you think

Every service you enable is a service you support. A client who can register a domain will ask you about DNS; a client who can buy a control-panel licence will ask you why cPanel is slow. Enable hosting first, run it for a month, then add.

What each one commits you to

  • Hosting — the core. Sites, backups, staging, certificates.
  • Domains — registrations and transfers. You are the point of contact for a domain dispute
  • or a failed transfer, not us.

  • Mail — the highest support load per pound of revenue in hosting. Enable it knowingly.
  • SEO and content — billed on usage, so a client can run up a bill. Set their limits.
  • AI — same, and the limits matter more because the numbers move faster.
  • Marketplace — lets a client buy and sell sites under your brand.

Pricing follows separately

Enabling a service does not price it. Reseller → Lines is where your margin is set, and a service with no price set is not offered even if it is enabled here — which is the safe way round.

Turning a service off does not remove it from clients who already have it. They keep what they bought and it stops being offered to anyone new. That is deliberate: withdrawing something a client is using is a decision you should have to make deliberately, per client.
