What the editor's model picker offers this organisation, cheapest first. The first entry is also the one marked default: the editor's automatic choice is computed from our published price list rather than typed into the code, so a cheaper model becomes the default when it appears and nobody has to remember to change it. ⛔ Every model listed carries a real price, and one we cannot price is not listed. Owner ruling 2026-09-09, reading this dropdown: "it says model price unknown - how can they be unknown they are public … it can never say unknown!" The rule this replaced listed unpriced models marked priced: false, on the reasoning that a BYO-key customer may run anything their account can — a fair argument that lost to the measurement, because 33 of 45 verified models were unpriced and the "marked exception" was three quarters of the list. A stale price is still offered, with its age: a freshness problem must not become an availability problem. Authenticated by the same grant as the assistant itself. When the organisation cannot spend at all, models is empty and refusal says why: an empty list on its own cannot be told apart from "we could not look".
