Додатак Zinn® Connector

The Connector lets Zinn Digital® publish scheduled articles to a WordPress site we do not host. You install it, paste one code, and the site appears in your Zinn® dashboard marked External. It is free, and it is listed in the WordPress.org plugin directory: wordpress.org/plugins/zinn-connector.

Pairing, start to finish

1. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for Zinn® Connector, then

choose Install Now and Activate.

2. In your Zinn® dashboard, open Content → Other sites, choose Connect a site, and

press Get a pairing code. The code works once and stops working after thirty minutes.

3. Back in WordPress, open Zinn Digital® → Connector, paste the code into **Pairing

code and press Connect this site**.

The screen then shows the site as connected. If it does not, it says why: a code that has expired or was already used (generate another — they are free), or a site that blocks REST API requests, which a security plugin sometimes does. If it says the problem is on our side, the same code still works — try again in a few minutes.

What we actually get

The plugin creates an ordinary WordPress application password for the administrator who presses Connect, and sends it to us. That is the whole credential. It is the same mechanism you would use if you typed an application password in by hand; the plugin only saves you copying it between two windows. It can do exactly what that user can do, and the Publishing tab narrows it further: live or draft, which author and category, whether we may upload images or edit articles we published before.

You can see it under Users → Profile → Application Passwords as Zinn Digital® (publishing), and deleting it there cuts us off immediately.

What it does not do

It is not a second way to publish and it does not open a channel we can push anything through. Publishing goes through the same REST endpoint an application password typed by hand would use, and it is driven from our side by a workflow that will not post the same article twice. It adds nothing to your public pages.

Backups

Off-site backups are optional. Once you switch them on in your Zinn® dashboard, WordPress asks us once an hour whether a backup is due; when one is, the plugin builds an archive of the site's files and database and uploads it straight to Zinn® storage in fixed-size pieces, so a large site does not run out of memory. The Backups tab lets you leave folders out and set a size limit.

Disconnecting

Press Disconnect this site on the Connector's Connection tab, or delete the application password under your profile. Either cuts us off at once, and neither deletes anything on the site. Deactivating the plugin does not disconnect the site — deliberately, so switching plugins off to test something does not silently stop your publishing.
