Some things we bill are agreed with you directly rather than bought from a price list — a custom hosting plan for a server we set up for you, a migration, or a one-off piece of work. They appear in Billing on the card called Charges added by our team, above your invoices.

What the card shows

• What it is for, in the words a member of our team wrote for you.
• The amount, before tax, and how often it is billed — once, every month, every 3 months,

every 6 months or every year.

• The next date it is due, and every date already billed with whether it was paid.

Custom plans billed every few months

A custom plan renews on its own schedule — for example every 3 months from the date we agreed. Each renewal is an ordinary invoice: tax for your country is added on top of the agreed price, and the invoice appears with all your others.

Invoices issued before the due date

If you pay by hand, we can issue each invoice up to 60 days before it is due. It appears in Billing under Waiting for payment straight away, with Pay now, so you can pay it any time before the due date. Nothing is charged automatically before the due date, and no reminder is sent before it.

If a charge is not paid

From the due date you receive the usual reminders. If the charge pays for a server we run for you and it stays unpaid, the server is paused at the same point any unpaid hosting would be. Paying the invoice brings it straight back — you do not need to contact us.

Questions about a charge

Open a ticket from Support and name the charge. We can explain it, change it from the next period, or stop it — an invoice already issued is corrected with a credit note.
