Where to start
Open Migrations in the menu and press Migrate a site here — that creates the site and starts the move in one go. For a site you have already created, open it and go to Restore & import → Migrate from another host.
Type your old host's server address and press Check my current host. We work out what it is running and fill the form in, so you are only asked for the login that will actually work.
What you need
The cPanel username and password your host gave you (or a cPanel API token). A WHM reseller login works too. You do not need to install anything on the old server.
What moves
- The website files.
- The databases, dumped by cPanel itself — no database password needed.
- Mailboxes, if you leave Bring my email across as well ticked. Mail is copied once during
the move and once more at the end (Run mail cutover), so nothing that arrives in between is lost.
What happens next
The status runs Signing in to your old host → Listing what's there → Copying → Checking what arrived. You can close the page; it keeps running. When it finishes, read What we moved, and how it looks and check the site on its temporary address before you change your domain's DNS.
It is free, and there is no limit
Every migration is free, on every plan, for as many sites as you have. Doing it yourself is the fastest way. If you would rather we did it, open the site, go to Restore & import, and use Or have us do it for you — free: an engineer starts within 72 hours, and that is free too. See Asking us to migrate a site for you.
