Set these up once, before you issue anything. An invoice freezes these details onto itself when you issue it, so a gap here becomes a gap on a document you have already sent.
Your business
Name, address and tax registration number. These print at the top of every invoice, and in most countries the tax number is a legal requirement on an invoice that charges tax.
Logo and colour
Upload your logo and set your brand colour. Both appear on the PDF. The logo is embedded in the document itself, so it still shows when your client opens the file months later, offline, with no connection to anything.
Numbering
Choose a prefix and a starting number — INV-, 2026-, whatever your accountant expects. Numbers are then allocated in order as you issue, with no gaps and no duplicates, even if you issue two invoices at the same moment.
Set this before your first invoice. Changing the prefix later is allowed but leaves your sequence looking like two sequences.
Tax rates
Add the rates you charge, each with a name your client will understand. A rate is a percentage you set — we do not decide your tax treatment for you, because your registration and your clients' locations are yours to know.
Reusable text
Save the blocks you would otherwise retype: payment terms, bank details, a thank-you line, your company registration footer. Drop them onto an invoice instead of writing them again, and change them in one place when your bank details change.
Where the money goes
Payments collect into your connected gateway — card, PayPal or crypto — and land in your account. If you have not connected one, the payment-link option is refused rather than quietly falling back to ours; your client's money should never arrive in our account. Connecting one is covered in Taking payment from your clients.
