Page Builder Sandwich Pro builds popups, slide-ins and bars with the same blocks as your pages, and shows them when and where you choose.
Create a popup
- Open Page Builder Sandwich → Popups → Add popup and design it with blocks.
- In the Popup settings panel choose the type: a popup in the middle of the screen (the
page behind is dimmed), a slide-in in a corner, or a bar at the top or the bottom.
- Choose when it shows: when the page loads, after a delay, after the visitor scrolls part of
the page, when they are about to leave (on a phone: when they scroll back up quickly after reading), or when something with a CSS selector you name is clicked.
- Choose how often: every page view, once per visit, once every few days, or until the
visitor converts.
- Choose where: every page, the front page, chosen pages or chosen content types, and on
which devices.
- Publish the popup.
Buttons inside a popup
- A button or link to
#popup-close closes the popup.
- A button or link to
#popup-convert counts a conversion (so a popup set to "until the visitor
converts" stops showing) and closes it; with conversion tracking on, it is also sent to your analytics as popup_conversion.
Accessible and light
Popups use the browser's own dialog: keyboard focus stays inside an open popup, Escape closes it, and the page behind cannot be reached until it is closed. A page no popup targets loads no popup code at all, and visitors who ask their device for less motion see no animation.
