Errors that show up as slowness
N+1 queries, a cron that runs on every page load, an uncached external call, a table with no index. Often reported as 'the site is slow' and fixed as a bug.

A backup first, the fix proven on a staging copy where we can, then applied live. On a hacked site we close the way in as well as clearing what it left behind.
You get told what it was
A short write-up of the cause, the fix, and anything we noticed on the way that is going to bite you next. If it is a hosting problem rather than a code problem, we say so.

Do I have to host with you?
No. We fix sites wherever they live, and there is no obligation to move afterwards. If the cause turns out to be the hosting rather than the code, we will tell you that plainly — including when the fix is something your current host can do for free.
What access do you need?
Usually an admin login and either SFTP or panel access, plus the error logs. For a hacked site we also want the raw access logs. We ask for the least we can work with, and you can revoke it the moment we are done.
What if you cannot find it?
The free look happens before the quote precisely so that this is our risk rather than yours. If we cannot see a route to a fix we say so at that point, and you have paid nothing.
Is this only WordPress?
No. WordPress and WooCommerce are the bulk of it, but we work across Laravel, Django and modern Python, .NET, Node and plain PHP. If it runs on the web we have very likely debugged something like it before.
My site is down right now.
Say so in the form and we will treat it that way. If you are already a hosting customer, open a ticket from the dashboard instead — that reaches us faster than anything on this page.
Can you stop it happening again?
That is the point of the write-up. Where the answer is a process rather than a patch — staging before updates, backups that are actually tested, monitoring that would have told you first — we say which one, and most of them are included free on our hosting rather than sold to you.
