While you try one of our products we send a small number of e-mails to help you get going. Each one says why you are getting it, and each has a one-click unsubscribe at the bottom.
During a free trial
- If you have not created your site yet: a note a couple of hours after your trial starts
showing how to create it in about 90 seconds with a free address (no domain needed), then our step-by-step guides and the AI assistant the next day, and an offer of help from a person a few days in.
- Once your site is live: one tip for getting the most from your product, then a reminder
of how to keep your site when the trial ends.
- The day before your trial ends: a reminder to choose a plan if you want your site to carry
on. A free trial never turns into a paid plan on its own, and nothing is charged unless you choose one. (Separately, our billing e-mails tell you 3 days before the end and when it ends.)
- Picked the wrong product? In the first 3 days of a trial you can switch it to another
product once, from Billing. It keeps the same end date.
- After a trial ends without a plan: at most two short notes, then nothing more about it.
They offer 7 more free days on the same trial. You can take them once per person, ever: the same product and limits, no card, and nothing charged unless you choose a plan. Take them from Billing within 30 days of the trial ending.
If you already have a plan with us
Each product has its own free trial, once per account. If you have a plan, you can still try any other product you have never had. We may send you up to two short notes about one of them. Open Start in your dashboard to see every product you can still try.
These stop as soon as they no longer apply: when you create your site, choose a plan, start a trial, or your trial ends.
On a free plan or free product
If you use a free product such as Zinn® Boards, Zinn® Uptime or Zinn® Chat, you get three short e-mails over about ten days: how to get started, where to find help, and what a paid plan adds. They stop if you buy anything or start a trial.
How to stop them
- Press Unsubscribe from emails like this at the bottom of any of these e-mails. It works
in one click.
- Or open Notification settings in your dashboard and switch off News and offers.
Billing, security and service e-mails (for example "your trial ends in 3 days" or a payment receipt) are not affected: they are about your account and are always sent.
Getting help
Reply to any of these e-mails and a person on our team reads it. You can also open a support ticket under Support, or ask the AI assistant in your dashboard. If you would rather talk it through on a call, reply and say so, and we will arrange a time with you.
