What has to be true

Your domain's nameservers must be ours. Nameservers are set at the registrar you bought the domain from - not in your hosting dashboard, and not in your DNS records.

That distinction is where most of the confusion comes from: you can edit DNS records with us all day, and if the nameservers still point somewhere else, nothing you edit is being read.

How to check where it is pointing

Your dashboard shows the domain's current nameservers next to the ones it should have. If they do not match, the change has not been made at the registrar or has not propagated yet.

How long it takes

Nameserver changes are not instant. A few hours is normal, and up to 24 is not unusual. During that window some people will see the old site and some the new one - that is propagation working, not a fault, and there is nothing to fix while it happens.

What NOT to do while you wait

Do not keep changing it. Every change restarts the clock, and repeatedly switching nameservers is the single commonest way a straightforward move turns into a two-day outage.

If it has been more than 24 hours

Then something is genuinely wrong, and it is worth a ticket. Include the domain name and where you bought it - the registrar matters, because a few of them have their own extra step that has to be completed before a nameserver change takes effect.
